Large Properties Variance Request

Under Stage 1 Drought Restrictions
Variances are issued on a case-by-case basis. Applicants must follow the current restrictions until the variance is approved. Variances may be granted for large properties that cannot completely water the entire property in a single day.

This request is to allow the applicant to irrigate sections of the property on additional days than the watering schedule. A variance granted under this subsection may allow the applicant to water each section no more than two times per week.

This notice does not exempt either the landscape/irrigation company or the property owner/manager from complying with the year-round water use management provisions of Section 10.812 of the City Ordinance, nor does it permit watering between the hours of 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
