The City Arts Center is seeking experienced artists, instructors, and creative educators to lead engaging art workshops and creative programs in The Studio, our educational space located within the Griffith Building in Downtown Round Rock.
We welcome proposals designed for children, families, teens, and adults. Whether you specialize in traditional art techniques, contemporary practices, creative hobbies, or hands-on making, we invite you to share your ideas with us.

About the City Arts Center
The City Arts Center is operated by City of Round Rock Arts and Culture and is located at 216 East Main Street in Downtown Round Rock.
Approved workshops and programs will take place during regular City Arts Center hours:
Tuesday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–6:00 PM
Wednesday–Friday: Extended hours until 8:00 PM
Workshop & Program Opportunities
We are interested in offering a diverse range of accessible, engaging, and creative learning experiences for our community. We have a particular priority on programs for children and families, while also welcoming proposals designed specifically for teens and adults.
Areas of particular interest include:
Homeschool Workshops — Hands-on art experiences that complement homeschool education and encourage creative learning.
After-School Workshops — Fun, structured art programs designed for children and teens after the school day.
Lunchtime Workshops — Short, creative art experiences that can be offered during lunch periods.
Family Workshops — Creative experiences that encourage children and adults to learn and make art together.
Adult Workshops — Art classes and hands-on creative experiences designed for adults of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced artists.
Community Art Workshops — Accessible programs that bring people together to explore creativity, learn new skills, and connect with the arts.
Art Club Meetings — Recurring gatherings where participants can regularly create, practice, share ideas, work on personal projects, explore new techniques, or connect with other artists and art enthusiasts. Art clubs may be designed for children, teens, adults, or mixed-age groups.
Art club proposals may include guided creative activities, open studio time, themed projects, demonstrations, group critiques, collaborative projects, or informal opportunities for participants to create and connect.
We welcome proposals across a variety of artistic mediums, including but not limited to drawing, painting, ceramics, fiber arts, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, photography, crafts, and other creative practices.
We are looking for instructors and facilitators who can create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment. Programs may range from introductory experiences for beginners to more skill-focused classes for participants looking to develop their artistic practice.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for community members of all ages to explore creativity, learn new skills, build confidence, connect with others, and experience the arts in a welcoming community environment.
