*New Landscape means vegetation:
1. installed at the time of the construction of a new house, multi-family building, or commercial building, or
2. installed as part of a governmental entity’s capital improvement project, or
3. is 25% or more of a property’s landscaped area.
This notice does not exempt either the landscape installer or the property owner/manager from complying with the year-round water waste provisions of Section 44-6 of the City Ordinance.

You will be contacted within three (3) business days of receipt of the variance request with notification of approval or denial. No citations will be issued for the property while the application is pending.

Receipt and approval of this notice by the City of Round Rock allows the applicant to irrigate the newly installed landscape as follows:
- Days 1 - 10 of installation: may water daily;
- Days 11 - 21: may water every other day, not between 10 am - 7 pm;
- Days 22 - 34: may water every third day, not between 10 am - 7 pm;
- By day 35: the property must adhere to the current water use restrictions.
Hand-watering is allowed at any time.

Drip irrigation is not exempt from restrictions.
