Hello Round Rock Arts Summer Fest Volunteer:
Thank you so much for offering to volunteer your time to help make the Round Rock Summer Arts Fest extra special!
This event takes place August 7-8-9, 2026, in Downtown Round Rock – in and around the new City Arts Center on East Main Street.
Volunteer Roles:
You’ll be assigned your role when you check in for your shift. We will send you to wherever we have the greatest need at the time you check in to volunteer. This event is primarily outdoors and in a lively festival environment. Please be flexible to working inside or outside.
Volunteer roles may include:
· Walking through the Artist Exhibitor areas to check on vendors as a goodwill ambassador to see if they need assistance
· Helping welcome visitors into the City Arts Center
· Welcoming visitors to exhibit and activity areas in other parts of the Griffith Building
· Keeping the festival areas tidy
· Please note: For youth volunteers at an end of evening shift on Friday or Saturday, please be sure to have your ride home ready for you early -- just in case you’re done with volunteering earlier than expected!
Volunteer Check-In:
Please check in for your volunteer shift at the City Arts Center at 216 East Main Street in Downtown Round Rock.
Before the Event:
Before the festival, please take some time to acquaint yourself with our Round Rock Summer Arts Fest website with performance schedules and other info, plus a map of the festival grounds and information about parking: www.roundrocktexas.gov/summerartsfest. This way you’ll be able to answer questions while volunteering.
There will be signage throughout the festival layout with QR code to our festival website for visitor information.
Note About Weather:
Expect all kinds of weather during the event – hot, windy, sunny, etc. Wear your hat, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle, take breaks, etc, in order to be comfortable at this outdoor event.
EVENT SUMMARY:
The Round Rock Summer Arts Fest is a new signature downtown arts festival located in the heart of Downtown Round Rock. Round Rock Summer Arts Fest features hundreds of artists, exhibitors, sponsors, local and regional musicians, theatrical performances plus a variety of foods and drinks. Round Rock Summer Arts Fest is hosted by City of Round Rock Arts and Culture and is a showcase for a large variety of fine art, fine crafts, and other exhibitors and provides patrons with the opportunity to meet and talk with the artists who create the work. It also includes artist demos and interactive arts experiences for all ages! Admission is free at this family-friendly fun arts event!
EVENT LOCATION:
The City Arts Center is located at 216 East Main Street in the recently renovated Griffith Building (the old library) in Downtown Round Rock.
Experience the people, creativity and community that make Round Rock unlike anywhere else. Look for Round Rock Summer Arts Fest activities, artists, performances, artist demonstrations and interactive arts experiences in a variety of locations in and around the City Arts Center. We’ll be in the Downtown Paseo, Main Street, Liberty Street, Prete Plaza and Sheppard Street/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
